From a one-man company to a specialist for electronics manufacturing services within the Demmel Group. Our company history from 1986 until today.
2026
MAIR Elektronik GmbH is celebrating its 40th anniversary and looks back on a strong success story. Since its founding in 1986, the company has become a recognized specialist in Electronics Manufacturing Services, employing around 100 people at two locations and supporting customers across the entire value chain.
A key milestone this year is the generational change in management: Gerald Suckel, who has been with the company for over 20 years, will become the new Managing Director. As former Head of Production, he has significantly shaped MAIR with his technical expertise and forward-thinking approach and will continue to lead the company into the future.
For 40 years, MAIR Elektronik has maintained strict quality standards. The successful recertification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 once again confirms its effective quality management system.
2025
At the beginning of the year, we once again participated in the job fair in Erding and were pleased to welcome numerous interested visitors, especially those interested in apprenticeships in the field of microtechnology. In September, Roland Mair won the FileMaker Award for "Best Enterprise Software." This award recognizes the ERP software, developed specifically for our company, for its technical excellence, innovation, and quality. In October, we launched our apprenticeship program for industrial business management assistants. By training apprentices in-house, we ensure a long-term supply of our own qualified specialists. After 39 years as Managing Director, Roland Mair is leaving the company. As the founder, he built Mair Elektronik with foresight, shaped it with vision, and consistently demonstrated a strong spirit of innovation. He was both an inspiration and a guide, and always treated his employees with respect and appreciation. We are deeply grateful to him for this.
2024
To expand our soldering capacity, we have commissioned another state-of-the-art vapor phase soldering system in our cleanroom. This additional VP 1000-66 from ASSCON allows us to select linear or ramp profiles depending on product requirements. We are also increasing our printing capacity with an EKRA Series 4000, whose inspection capabilities and high degree of automation represent a valuable measure for quality assurance, especially for increasingly finer structures. On September 1st, we welcomed another new apprentice in the field of microtechnology. This ensures our own supply of skilled workers, who will become increasingly important in the coming years. In November, we were once again represented at electronica in Munich with RAWE and Tefag, where we had many valuable discussions, strengthened long-standing partnerships, and established new relationships.
2023
We received a strong response to our presence at the Erding job fair for the recruitment of trainees and specialists. We continued to expand our inspection capabilities with the new AOI Zenith Alpha from Koh-Young and the EFA Inspection system for first article inspection. We also invested in additional dry storage cabinets to increase the storage of MSL-sensitive components. In spring, we passed the ISO certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001-2015 at both our Eisleben and Schwaig sites with flying colors. In 2023, we were also able to celebrate another graduation as a microtechnologist and successful further training as a technician.
2022
Our online reach was extended through our own Instagram channel https://instagram.com/mair_elektronik_gmbh/ . In the middle of the year, our two apprentices successfully completed their training as a microtechnologist and industrial clerk. We are delighted that both will continue to support Mair Elektronik in technology, quality assurance and purchasing. At the electronica 2022 trade fair, we presented ourselves together with RAWE Electronic for the first time as an exhibitor and excellent mutual addition for the EMS market.
