40 Years Mair

“Sapere aude” – dare to be wise, to seek knowledge and understanding. This quote by Horace aptly reflects the journey of Mair Elektronik, from its founding forty years ago to the present day.

On April 1, 1986, Roland Mair laid the foundation of the company. With courage and determination, he took the step into self-employment as a PCB assembly service provider after completing his training. Yet “aude” does not only mean “be courageous,” but also “be eager.” This eagerness for insight and understanding has remained a key driving force at Mair Elektronik to this day.

From the very beginning, we have been driven by the question of what lies behind technologies, processes, and their interconnections. With passion, we explore these foundations, analyzing the interaction between people, materials, and machines to gain valuable insights. Those who understand even the smallest details—such as within a solder joint—can apply technologies effectively and optimize processes. In an increasingly complex manufacturing environment, such understanding is essential.

Time and again, it takes the courage to break new ground and pursue unconventional approaches. At the same time, we focus not only on technologies and processes, but also on requirements, fields of application, and above all, the people behind the products.

This mindset has enabled us to establish ourselves successfully in a globally connected world. Retreating into isolation would mean stagnation—openness, on the other hand, creates the foundation for growth and new insights.

After four decades, we proudly see that our knowledge and curiosity are now reflected in countless electronic assemblies across the globe.

This is what we stand for: Mair Elektronik—together with you—represents innovation and the highest quality standards.

Our sincere thanks go to everyone who supports, inspires, challenges, and drives Mair Elektronik forward—and who continually give us the courage to explore new paths. Ad multos annos!
